Frederik Ceyssens
Co-Founder and CEO
Frederik co-founded the Start Up ReVision Implant together with Peter, with great ambition and motivation. Together with the rest of the team he works hands-on on developing the intra-cortical visual prosthesis.

Maarten Schelles
R&D Engineer, PhD Candidate
Maarten Schelles obtained his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2020. The focus of his Master’s thesis was new signal processing techniques for stimulation artefact removal in neural spike sorting. As of September 2020, he is an Electrical Engineering PhD candidate at the MNS group under the supervision of prof. Michael Kraft. He was awarded a Baekeland scholarship from the Flemish government, to conduct his research in collaboration with the company ReVision Implant. He has a strong interest in electronics and MEMS technology for medical applications. The main focus of his current research is the development of a high-resolution neural prosthesis for chronic stimulation of the visual cortex, to provide artificial vision for the blind.
